Impact Aid

Federal Impact Aid Funds started in 1950 and are designed to assist local school districts that have lost property tax revenue because of tax-exempt Federal property.  The Impact Aid property of the Jefferson County School District includes the Warm Springs Reservation and the Jefferson County North Unit Irrigation District.  Applications and Guidelines for these funds are strict and audited annually.  The district can only collect for students attending 509-J schools.  Most districts use Impact Aid funds for current expenditures and 509-J is no exception.  The district uses Impact Aid funds for employment, operations and instructions program expenditures.
