MADRAS HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Lunch today:  Chicken & cheese quesadilla, brown, rice, refried beans.  All lunches served with milk.

Breakfast tomorrow: Waffles, sausage patty, banana.  All breakfasts served with milk or juice.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. Junior and Seniors! Let loose at footloose May 6th 8 to 11:30pm! Get your tickets from Misty at the book keeping window, $25 for singles and $45 for couples! See you there!
  1. Congratulations to MHS senior Destiny Mitchell! Destiny is in Advanced Graphics Tech. Destiny won the contest to create a new logo for the Student Based Health Center. Destiny won a $100 gift card! 
  1. Hello students and faculty!  Come get your hydro flasks and personalized tags this Wednesday at lunch!  Hydro flasks are $35 and personalized tags are $12.  Buy two or more and get a great deal!
  1. ATTENTION all 25 WALKING DEAD participants... There will be another MANDATORY informational meeting for the 25 Walking Dead students participating in the Every 15 event, on WED. 4/26 @ lunch in the upper gym. Please grab your lunch and then come to the meeting
  1. Students, April 27th will be the last day to sign up for any of the COCC Placement testing dates. Please make sure you  stop by Student Services and sign up and fill out the required enrollment form for the test!
  1. MHS Drama would like to announce their spring performances of Oliver Twist the musical. Friday April 28th, or Saturday April 29th- all performances will be held at 7 pm, doors open at 6:15. Tickets can be purchased from The MHS drama students or Misty-MHS Bookkeeper. student tickets are $3, adults $5 when purchased early.
  1. The OSEA Scholarship Application for $500.00 is now open for students to apply.  Applications can be picked up in the Future Center or found in Naviance.
  1. ATTENTION JUNIORS and SENIORS! Would you like to hold the title of 2017 Mr. MHS? Leadership will be hosting our annual Mr. MHS competition at the PAC Wed, April 26th from 7pm-8:30pm. If you are interested in competing for this title, sign up with Ms PH room 3 and attend the mandatory meeting during lunch Thurs, April 20th in Room 3. Sign Ups are limited. The competition is open for all students to come watch AND we will be giving away cash and prizes. Hope to see you there.
  1. OCC will be hosting a career event in the Future Center on May 5th at 12:15.   The program information is for an AAS in Health Information Technology (HIT)covering a very broad field within the realm of medical records, healthcare billing and administration, etc. The program is often appealing to those interested in working with technology, in an office environment, or in healthcare (without the hands-on patient care). Please sign up with Ms. Piercy in student services.
  1. Seniors .... the Jefferson County Scholarship applications are now available in Naviance and in the Future Center.  
  1. The ARMY recruiter will be presenting in the Future Center on May 3rd at 10:00 am.   All students need to sign up with Ms. Piercy to attend.
  1. Attention Seniors!!! Are you interested in a Health Career? COCC offers several health career programs!! COCC is hosting a Health Careers Expo Friday May 26th, 10 am-1:30pm at the Bend Campus! Stop by student services to sign up to attend this awesome event! Hurry, space is limited!
  1. Attention 16-18 year old's looking for summer work! COYCC (Central Oregon Youth Conservation Corps is hiring for the 2017 Summer work crew! Stop by Student Services and check out the Summer Opportunities board for more information!
