MADRAS HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Lunch today:  Grilled chicken fajita, brown rice, refried beans.  All lunches served with milk.

Breakfast Monday:  Oatmeal choc chip bar, applesauce cup.  All breakfasts served with milk or juice.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. Link Crew application deadline has been extended to Friday, May 5. Get your application to Ms. Wheeler, Mr. McFarlin, or the turn in boxes in the offices.   If you need another application, ask Ms. Wheeler, room #29.
  1. Attention Students:  Do you like the freedom of eating lunch anywhere in the school besides the cafeteria?  If you don’t want to sit in the cafeteria everyday like the elementary kids, please use your manners and pick up after yourself.  We have seen several spills in the halls after lunch that you could have cleaned up.  What would your mother say?
  1. Aloha MHS! Come down to the student store for some tropical punch! This only lasts this week so hurry on down!
  1. Mr. Smith will be here from COCC, Wednesday, May 10th, from 9:00 - noon to review placement test results for those who have taken the test.  Please sign up with Ms. Piercy in student services.
  1. COCC will be here TODAY at 12:15 to present information regarding an AAS degree in Health Information Technology a broad field within the realm of medical records, healthcare billing and administration, etc. The program is often appealing to those interested in working with technology, in an office environment, or in healthcare setting (without the hands-on patient care).  Please sign up with Ms. Piercy in student services.
  1. The "Pay It Forward Scholars" Scholarship application is available in the Future Center.  No essay required!
  1. Junior and Seniors!!  Class of 2018 would like to invite you to a Footloose Prom on Saturday, May 6th 8 to 11:30pm under the covered area behind the Ag building.  Get your tickets from Misty at the bookkeeper’s window, $25 for singles and $45 for couples! Prices will increase at the door!  You gotta cut loose!!
  1. The OSEA Scholarship Application for $500.00 is now open for students to apply.  Applications can be picked up in the Future Center or found in Naviance.
  1. Seniors .... the Jefferson County Scholarship applications are now available in Naviance and in the Future Center.  
  1. Attention Seniors!!! Are you interested in a Health Career? COCC offers several health career programs!! COCC is hosting a Health Careers Expo Friday May 26th, 10 am-1:30pm at the Bend Campus! Stop by student services to sign up to attend this awesome event! Hurry, space is limited!

Attention 16-18 year old's looking for summer work! COYCC (Central Oregon Youth Conservation Corps is hiring for the 2017 Summer work crew! Stop by Student Services and check out the Summer Opportunities board for more information
