  1. The OSEA Scholarship Application for $500.00 is now open for students to apply.  Applications can be picked up in the Future Center or found in Naviance.
  1. GSA (gay straight alliance) will meet on Friday, at lunch, in Ms. Wheeler's room. GSA is a student-run club to support students who are LGBTQ, or are allies and friends. If you have any questions, please ask Ms. Wheeler or Ms. Fullmer.
  1. ATTENTION JUNIORS and SENIORS! Would you like to hold the title of 2017 Mr. MHS? Leadership will be hosting our annual Mr. MHS competition at the PAC Wed, April 26th from 7pm-8:30pm. If you are interested in competing for this title, sign up with Ms PH room 3 and attend the mandatory meeting during lunch Thurs, April 20th in Room 3. Sign Ups are limited. The competition is open for all students to come watch AND we will be giving away cash and prizes. Hope to see you there.
  1. OCC will be hosting a career event in the Future Center on May 5th at 12:15.   The program information is for an AAS in Health Information Technology (HIT)covering a very broad field within the realm of medical records, healthcare billing and administration, etc. The program is often appealing to those interested in working with technology, in an office environment, or in healthcare (without the hands-on patient care). Please sign up with Ms. Piercy in student services.
  1. Attention Juniors and Seniors!! It's that time again! MHS will be holding the ASVAB testing here at MHS on April 20th. The ASVAB can help students decide on a college major, identify students strengths and many more. Whether you're planning on college, a technical school, the military, or you're just not sure!! The ASVAB can put you on the right path towards a satisfying career! Interested students, please stop by Ms. Piercy's desk in Student Services to sign up! 
  1. JUNIORS: It is SBAC time. The test takes place in the library computer lab beginning next week and you need to report at the beginning of school on your assigned day. The schedule is: Juniors with English 2nd Period will test on MONDAY; Juniors with English 3rd Period will test on TUESDAY; Juniors with English 4th Period will test on WEDNESDAY; Juniors with English 5th Period will test on THURSDAY; Juniors with English 6th Period will test on FRIDAY.
  1. From now on at the student store coffee will no longer available 5 minutes before the bell! So make sure you get your coffee early so you can get to class on time!
  1. Seniors .... the Jefferson County Scholarship applications are now available in Naviance and in the Future Center.  
  1. Hey Junior Girls! Oregon Girls State, sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary, is looking for applicants for this year's Summer program which runs June 11-17, 2017. If you are interested in Leadership, governmental processes and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, this could be a great opportunity for you! There is a potential to earn scholarship money after completing the program. Check out the Summer Opportunities wall in Student Services for more information and to pick up an application! The deadline to apply is April 15th, 2017. 
  1. The ARMY recruiter will be presenting in the Future Center on May 3rd at 10:00 am.   All students need to sign up with Ms. Piercy to attend.
  1. Attention Seniors!!! Are you interested in a Health Career? COCC offers several health career programs!! COCC is hosting a Health Careers Expo Friday May 26th, 10 am-1:30pm at the Bend Campus! Stop by student services to sign up to attend this awesome event! Hurry, space is limited!
  1. All EVERY 15 MINUTES participants need to turn in their permission slips to Ms. McConnell ASAP!! If you cannot participate, please let her know so a replacement can be found.
  1. Attention 16-18 year old's looking for summer work! COYCC (Central Oregon Youth Conservation Corps is hiring for the 2017 Summer work crew! Stop by Student Services and check out the Summer Opportunities board for more information!
  1. Attention Soccer players! Volunteers are needed for the Kiwanis Youth Soccer Program. Help with registration, direct crowds, pee wee groups, help with teams and kids. Come on out and help support and build a soccer program for youth! For more information please find Patricia (room # 18).
