Lunch today:   Italian spaghetti, garlic bread sticks OR Yogurt and String Cheese.  All lunches served with milk.

Breakfast tomorrow: Sausage cheese bagel, applesauce cup.   All breakfasts served with milk or juice.

  1. The ACT Lunch Club will meet Thursday, February 8th in Room 9. This week's topic: The Math Test: Tips, Tricks and Practice.  All are welcome - open attendance (if you miss a week, you can start anytime). Thanks, Mrs. Sisk and Mrs. Schongalla
  1. Japanese Cultural Club is meeting this Thursday (Feb 8) at lunch in room 21.
  1. A reminder that NHS applications are due to Mr. Hair in Room 25 no later than 3:30 on Friday, February 9th.
  1. Do you have the special someone that you want to let them know how much they mean to you?  Send them a Val-O-Gram, check out the table in the commons during lunch starting TODAY to find out more. 
  1. This is SkillsUSA Week. Did you know that over 300,000 students are involved in SkillsUSA in 53 states and US Territories? Did you know that members compete in 100 competitions at the National Conference, including welding, construction, drafting, photography, graphic design, pin and t-shirt design, community service, first aid/CPR, related technical math, and many more? You can also win scholarships and great prizes like software and tools when you compete nationally. 
  1. Seniors:  If you are planning on applying or attending Western Oregon University stop by the Future Center and see Ms. Sisk about a $4,000.00 scholarship opportunity.  Deadline is March 1st!
  1. COCC will be visiting MHS on February 13th to meet with interested students. Stop by Student Services to sign up to meet with their Rep!!! 
  1. Native American students, there will a field trip to the COCC campus in Bend on February 9th. Bus will leave at 8:15 AM and will return before the end of school. You can sign-up at Cassie Percy's desk !! 
  1. SENIORS!  If you are planning to attend COCC you have an opportunity to apply for their Merit Scholarship.  The award is $1,500.00.  The deadline is March 1.  Your GPA must be 3.0 or higher.  Please see Ms. Sisk in the Future Center Rm.1 for more information.
  1. Attention all SB pitchers & catchers, we will have a meeting to sign-up for the 2-week pitcher/catcher workouts, on TH 2/8 @ NOON in Coach McConnell's office. 


  1. SENIORS!  If you are planning on attending a career/trade school, community college, or four year university and have not completed your FAFSA or ORSAA or Oregon Promise applications please see Ms. Sisk in the Future Center soon!  Completing these forms could earn you up to $11,710.00 in FREE money!
  1. Also any Seniors planning on attending a 4 year college institution that have not applied be sure to check that school's website for application deadlines as soon as possible!  Visit the Future Center if you need assistance.
  1. Scholarship season is here .... make sure you log into your Naviance account and review scholarships available for February and March now!
  1. JUNIORS!  Future Center Mentors will begin meeting with you regarding your plans after graduation beginning in February.  If you have questions about the program or your mentor stop by and see Ms. Sisk in the Future Center Rm. 1 for more information.
  1. ATTENTION MHS Be sure to preorder your 2018 yearbook by Wed Feb 28th for only $50. Prices will increase to $55 March 1st. Books are limited. Once we sell out we won't order more. See Misty at the bookkeeper’s window to reserve your book today!
  1. HEY MHS: The Math Contest is coming!  Come join Team Math to compete at the Central Oregon Math Contest, Thursday, April 12th held at COCC in Bend.  Lunch will be provided & you get a free T-shirt!  If you are interested or have questions, see Gilmore or Jensen. Deadline to register is March 16thGO TEAM MATH!
