Lunch today:  Hamburger OR cheeseburger, oven fries, baked beans.  All lunches served with milk.

Breakfast tomorrow:  Breakfast pizza, peach cup.  All breakfasts served with milk or juice.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. Students, April 27th will be the last day to sign up for any of the COCC Placement testing dates. Please make sure you  stop by Student Services and sign up and fill out the required enrollment form for the test!
  1. Attention Volleyball Players:  there will be a meeting in Rm 13 at lunch on Wednesday.
  1. New Iced coffee flavors!  Try our new snickers, reeses and milky way drinks.  Also new is our cherry flavor for any fruit lovers out there.  Try any of these today at the student store during lunch for $1.50.
  1. Are you interested in a career in welding, CNC (Computer Numerical Control), automotive, diesel, marine, or motorcycles?  UTI (Universal Technical Institute) will be here Wednesday April 19th.  Full presentations will occur in Mrs. Stroup's room #26 during 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th periods.  All students are welcome to join if they are available.  UTI will be set up in the commons area during 4th period and lunch as well.
  1. MHS Drama would like to announce their spring performances of Oliver Twist the musical.  Come see us Friday April 21st, Saturday April 22nd, Friday April 28th, or Saturday April 29th- all performances will be held at 7 pm, doors open at 6:15. Tickets can be purchased from The MHS drama students or Misty-MHS Bookkeeper. student tickets are $3, adults $5 when purchased early.
  1. The OSEA Scholarship Application for $500.00 is now open for students to apply.  Applications can be picked up in the Future Center or found in Naviance.
  1. ATTENTION JUNIORS and SENIORS! Would you like to hold the title of 2017 Mr. MHS? Leadership will be hosting our annual Mr. MHS competition at the PAC Wed, April 26th from 7pm-8:30pm. If you are interested in competing for this title, sign up with Ms PH room 3 and attend the mandatory meeting during lunch Thurs, April 20th in Room 3. Sign Ups are limited. The competition is open for all students to come watch AND we will be giving away cash and prizes. Hope to see you there.

COCC will be hosting a career event in the Future Center on May 5th at 12:15.   The program information is for an AAS in Health Information Technology (HIT)covering a very broad field within the realm of medical records, healthcare billing and administration, etc. The program is often appealing to those interested in working with technology, in an office environment, or in healthcare (without the hands-on patient care). Please sign up with Ms. Piercy in student services.
  1. Attention Juniors and Seniors!! It's that time again! MHS will be holding the ASVAB testing here at MHS on April 20th. The ASVAB can help students decide on a college major, identify students strengths and many more. Whether you're planning on college, a technical school, the military, or you're just not sure!! The ASVAB can put you on the right path towards a satisfying career! Interested students, please stop by Ms. Piercy's desk in Student Services to sign up! 
  1. JUNIORS: It is SBAC time. The schedule is: Juniors with English 3rd Period will test on TUESDAY; Juniors with English 4th Period will test on WEDNESDAY; Juniors with English 5th Period will test on THURSDAY; Juniors with English 6th Period will test on FRIDAY.
  1. Seniors .... the Jefferson County Scholarship applications are now available in Naviance and in the Future Center.  
  1. The ARMY recruiter will be presenting in the Future Center on May 3rd at 10:00 am.   All students need to sign up with Ms. Piercy to attend.
  1. Attention Seniors!!! Are you interested in a Health Career? COCC offers several health career programs!! COCC is hosting a Health Careers Expo Friday May 26th, 10 am-1:30pm at the Bend Campus! Stop by student services to sign up to attend this awesome event! Hurry, space is limited!
  1. Attention 16-18 year old's looking for summer work! COYCC (Central Oregon Youth Conservation Corps is hiring for the 2017 Summer work crew! Stop by Student Services and check out the Summer Opportunities board for more information!
