Long Range Facilities Plan
The educational facilities within the Jefferson County School District include two High Schools, three Elementary Schools, one Middle School, two K-8 Schools, and one online school. In addition to the educational structures, the Jefferson County School District also supports a Performing Arts Center, a support services building, a transportation/maintenance operations office, transportation/ maintenance shop and warehouse, a food service warehouse, a grounds maintenance shop and eight Warm Springs Housing Units.
The purpose of the long-range facility plan is to inspect and review the condition of all present facilities and their operating components, review the District’s educational standards, examine factors that may impact the future of facilities within the District and student population growth, and provide the District with recommended options for facility upgrades and improvements.
The information presented in this Long-Range Plan and the recently completed Facilities Assessment is intended to provide the Jefferson County School District with a clear picture of current and potential future facilities’ needs, allowing Administrators and Board Members to take a proactive approach to future growth and educational priorities.
