Advanced Construction students at Madras High School are undertaking a significant project. Students are working on building fully functional bathrooms from the ground up.

This project is testing their skills they’ve learned from prior construction classes, while also offering new learning moments. This project requires them to know and understand framing, basic plumbing, electrical, flooring, tile work, measuring, reading blueprints, and so much more.

This class is allowing the students to see all the work that goes into constructing one part of a house. In addition to learning about the different skill sets required by this project, they need to work together as a team to accomplish their goals. Another skill that will be truly valuable for them after high school. This initiative exemplifies the value of CTE classes in preparing our students for their future.
