Wrestling Meets at Bend Area Schools
Parents: On Wednesday Jan. 19, Tuesday Feb. 1, Saturday Feb. 12 and Saturday Feb. 15 the JCMS wrestlers are scheduled to compete in the Central Oregon Middle School District Championship. Bend has the following rules around the meets they are hosting:
- For multi-school meets (for which we’re scheduled) attendance will be limited to 1 (one) spectator per athlete. Before each meet we will need to submit a roster of our wrestlers. Next to each name will be the name of the one spectator who will be attending the meet for that wrestler. We will plan on submitting that roster to the host school the day before the meet. Please discuss with your student about which 1 spectator they would like to write down.
- Masks are required for access into the contest and the host school WILL BE enforcing the requirement. We respectfully ask that anyone planning to attend the meets in Bend have a mask and plan on wearing it.
We have other meets scheduled at Elton Gregory and Obsidian Middle Schools. Currently we have heard nothing from these schools requiring Covid containment actions beyond the state guidelines. Those guidelines however do call for mask-wearing which we do ask all of our spectators to honor.

Las Competencias De Lucha En Las Escuelas Del Área de Bend
Padres: El miércoles 19 de enero, el martes 1 de febrero, el sábado 12 de febrero y el sábado 15 de febrero, los luchadores de JCMS están programados para competir en el Campeonato del Distrito Escolar Del Centro de Oregón. Bend tiene las siguientes reglas en torno a las reuniones que están organizando:
- Para las reuniones multi escolares (para las que estamos programados) la asistencia estará limitada a 1 (un) espectador por atleta. Antes de cada reunión tendremos que enviar una lista de nuestros luchadores. Junto a cada nombre estará el nombre del espectador que asistirá a la reunión de ese luchador. Planearemos enviar esa lista a la escuela anfitriona el día antes de la reunión. Por favor, discuta con su estudiante sobre que espectador le gustaría incluir.
- Se requieren cubrebocas para acceder al concurso y la escuela anfitriona HARÁ cumplir el requisito. Pedimos respetuosamente que cualquier persona que planee asistir a las reuniones en Bend tenga un cubrebocas y planee usarla.
Tenemos otras reuniones programadas en las escuelas intermedias Elton Gregory y Obsidian. Actualmente no hemos escuchado nada de estas escuelas que requieran acciones de contención de Covid más allá de las pautas estatales. Sin embargo, esas pautas exigen el uso de cubrebocas, lo que pedimos a todos nuestros espectadores que respeten.
