Full In Person Instruction on February 3rd

Madras Elementary Families,

We are so excited to welcome back all of our students on site next Wednesday, February 3rd for a full day of in person instruction! February 1st and 2nd there will be no CDL or LIPI provided so that we can be ready to make Wednesday an amazing day for students. The three weeks of Limited In Person Instruction (LIPI) for our K-3 students, and two weeks of LIPI for our K-5 students provided an excellent preview of what this experience will be like for your student.

  • Students will still be required to wear a mask throughout the school day, sanitize when moving between classrooms, and social distance to the maximum extent possible.

  • We will open our doors at 7:55AM Monday-Friday beginning Wednesday, February 3rd.

  • Each student is visually screened at entry for COVID-19 symptoms, sanitize their hands, and an external temperature is taken. Students will enter through the designated door for drop off (the same door they have been using for LIPI).

  • Students will pick up breakfast in a bag, and head to their classroom in the morning. Students will have lunch delivered to their classroom and eat in their classroom. Students are able to bring their own lunch if they do not want the school option.

  • We will conclude our school day at 1:55, with students exiting in a staggered schedule:

    • Kindergarten/3rd grade: 1:53PM

    • 1st/4th Grade: 1:55PM

    • 2nd/5th Grade 1:57PM

Things may be a little different for the remainder of the year, but we will get through it TOGETHER! Thank you all for your patience and partnership during this school year. We cannot wait to see our students smiling faces for a full day of in person instruction!

Respectfully,

Chris Wyland,

Madras Elementary Principal
